Jyotiraditya Scindia, the aviation minister, on the Tejasvi Surya-IndiGo flight controversy

On December 10 of last year, Tejasvi Surya, national president of the BJP Yuva Morcha and the party's representative from Bengaluru South, is accused of opening the emergency evacuation door of an IndiGo aircraft before to takeoff.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia claimed that the incident happened by "mistake" and that the passenger had "apologised" for the same a day after it was reported that BJP MP Tejasvi Surya had allegedly unlocked the emergency escape door of an Indigo flight before takeoff in December.

It's critical to consider the facts. When the plane was on the ground, he unintentionally opened the door, but after all the tests, the plane was cleared to take off. He also expressed regret for the error, according to Scindia, who was speaking to ANI.

According to AScindia, Surya informed the pilot and crew about the situation when it occurred. "Full protocol was followed, as determined by the DGCA investigation. The plane did not take off until all checks were complete, he added.

Although the event occurred on December 10 at the Chennai airport, IndiGo issued a statement on the matter on Tuesday in response to some media coverage. While Bengaluru South MP Surya was mentioned in the reports, IndiGo did not mention anyone in its statement.
